About

We prepare boys for success in college and beyond.

Boys’ Latin of Philadelphia first opened its doors in West Philadelphia in 2007, offering an innovative value proposition: to provide a world-class college preparatory academic program for historically underserved boys. Now, nearly 20 years later, the vision has come to fruition. Each and every day, our students grow within a safe and supportive environment with dedicated teachers who challenge them to meet their full potential. High expectations plus high levels of support yield results. We educate boys and graduate men. Our students matriculate into, persist through, and graduate from college at rates that far surpass city and national averages. Boys’ Latin alumni now live, work, and lead positive change in cities across the country.

I wasn’t planning on going to college before Boys’ Latin… it wasn’t even on my mind. Then our principal connected me to Denison University and helped me navigate that new space. I now have 2 degrees, my Bachelors from Denison and my Masters of Social Work from Rutgers.
